These are just some of my many favorite Hindi film songs of my time. If you are anywhere near my age and you are Indian, I am sure you'll love these. (I am assumimg you are/were a movie goer and you love Hindi film songs.) These are all songs from the 1960's and 70's. Today these are known as old (hit) Hindi film songs.

I have to say one thing here. Today's Hindi movies do not attract me much. Because, these days, the songs are very different and are not treated as an essential ingredient to make a movie successful in the box office. None of the music directors of today's Hindi films has the ability to produce songs like the ones in this page. I miss S.D. Burman, R.D.Burman, Hemant Kumar, Naushad, Shankar-Jaikishen, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Salil Choudhury-like talented musicians of yesteryears. And singers like Md. Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Hemant Kumar, Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle et al will always be remembered as the immortal playback-singers of Hindi movies that made these movies so popular not only in India but in a large number of other countries. I have not seen replacements of any one of the above named artists in Hindi movies yet, and perhaps nobody can fit in their shoes ever!
