DAY 04 NAINITAL:

ABOUT TIFFIN TOP (2290 MT): Also known as Dorothy's seat - in memory of an English lady Mrs. Kellet Dorothy, who was killed in an air crash there. Tiffin Top is a short trek of about 3 kms from Nainital and provides excellent view of the Himalayas and the town below.

ABOUT BHIMTAL (1371 MT): About 22 kms from Nainital, nestled in a beautiful pristine valley, this gem of a lake is the largest around Nainital. The beauty is enhanced by a small island surrounded by crystal blue water.

DAY 05 NAINITAL-ALMORA (VIA KHAIRNA)-KAUSANI (120 KMS):
We travel to Kausani today - one of the best hill stations of India for natural beauty. After checking in at the hotel you can walk around and enjoy the beauty of the place. We shall stay here for two nights.

DAY 04 HARIDWAR - RISHIKESH:
Early in the morning visit to the holy Ghats. Take a dip in the Holy Ganga (River Ganges). It is said that taking a dip here opens the way to heaven and purifies the soul. Afterwards have breakfast at the hotel. Then depart for Rishikesh. Overnight at the hotel in Rishikesh.

DAY 05 RISHIKESH TO DELHI:
After breakfast depart from hotel for a full day of sightseeing in Rishikesh including Bharat Temple, Rishi Kund and Raghunath Temple, Laxman Jhoola, Swarg Ashram, Gita Bhavan and Parmath Nikentan, Sadanand Temple, Triveni Ghat, and Kailash Ashram. According to the legend, when the fourth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Ram Das, heard about the healing powers of a pool in Amritsar, he ordered his son, Guru Arjan Dev, to erect a temple at the site. Thus he erected the famous Golden Temple. Overnight in Amritsar.

DAY 04 AMRITSAR:
Today after breakfast we shall visit the Golden Temple, walk around in the city bazaar, and in the evening we shall go to the Wagah border (India-Pakistan border) to watch the ritual of lowering of the flags of each country and closing the border for the night. Overnight in Amritsar.

DAY 05 AMRITSAR TO DHARAMSHALA (199 KMS):
In the morning we drive to Dharamshala. Check-in at hotel upon arrival. Founded by the British between 1815 and 1847, Dharamshala remained a low-profile hill town till the influx of Tibetan refugees along with the Dalai Lama since October 1959. India welcomed the religious leader and offered him and his people sanctuary and a place to stay in Dharamshala. Overnight in Dharamshala.

DAY 06 DHARAMSHALA:
Siteseeing in Dharamshala. St. John in the Wilderness: A stone church with delicate stained glass windows and a memorial to Lord Elgin. Dal Lake: A popular picnic spot surrounded by forests of fir. An annual fair is held here every September. Bhagsunath: Close to Dal lake is the shrine of Bhagsunath, an easy walk from the Macleodganj Bazzar. There is a pretty waterfall not far away.

DAY 07 DHARAMSHALA TO MANALI (265 KMS):
After breakfast we start for Manali. Manali's 'history' is really more myth than history. According to Hindu mythology, Manali was the home of the lawgiver Manu (after whom the town is named). Legend has it that when a flood deluged the earth, Manu and the gods were towed to dry ground by a giant fish. Overnight in Manali.

DAY 08 MANALI:
After breakfast sightseeing in Manali. Among other things, we shall see: 1. HADIMBA TEMPLE - Manali has many attractions but the chief centre of interest, historically and archeologically, is undoubtedly the DHOONGRI TEMPLE dedicated to GODDESS HADIMBA. 2. MANU TEMPLE - 3 kms. from the main bazar in old Manali lies the temple of MANU RISHI. 3. VASHIST HOT WATER SPRINGS AND TEMPLE (3 kms) - Vashist, a small village located on the left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is renowned for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to VASHIST MUNI. Overnight at Manali.

DAY 09 MANALI TO SHIMLA (260 KMS):
Today after breakfast we head for Shimla. Way back in 1817, a small village tucked away in the Himalayas was discovered by British surveyors and they pronounced it an ideal retreat for the homesick colonizers.

DAY 10 SHIMLA:
Whole day of sightseeing in Shimla. Places to see around Shimla include Mashobra, Bekhaltv road, camp sites and the Golf Course at Naldehra, Tattapani, the Shiv-Parvati Caves, Kufri Ski Slopes, etc.

DAY 11 SHIMLA TO DELHI (345 KMS):

Drive by car to Manali, passing through an important junction on the salt route to Tibet. Mandi is the gateway to the Kullu valley. Moving through Mandi, tourists will see the impressive Pandoh Dam that diverts water from the Beas River. The beautiful view of the mountains can be enjoyed moving through the Sainj valley. On the way to Manali, you will see the Vaishno Devi Temple - a small cave with the Vaishno Devi Temple. And there are other interesting places to discover. Overnight in Manali.

DAY 03 MANALI:
After breakfast we go for local siteseening. In Manali you can see wooden temple of Hadimba Devi, orchards, temples etc. In the evening you can do shopping at mall road.

DAY 04 MANALI TO KEYLONG:
Drive by car towards Keylong, after the local sightseeing of Manali. On the way you can see Rohtang Pass and Vashist and Khoksar gateway to Lahaul and Spiti valleys .In Keylong you can see Buddhist monasteries with frescoes on the walls. Keylong is the last town before the picturesque Lahual and Spiti valleys. Overnight in Keylong or Sarchu.

DAY 05 KEYLONG/SARCHU TO LEH:
After breakfast we head for Leh. The average altitude of Leh is 3523 meters from the sea level. On the way spend time at the Hemis Monastery. Overnight in Leh.

DAY 06 LOCAL SIGHTSEEING AT LEH:
It is the fascinating capital of the Autonomous Hill Council of Ladakh, also known as Little Tibet. The important monasteries to visit in and around Leh are Shey, Thiksey, Hemis, Spituk, Samkhar as well as the Shanti Stupa, Stok Palace and the main Bazaar. The Leh Palace dominating the town was the former home of the Namgyal Dynasty. Overnight in Leh.

DAY 07 LEH TO KHARDUNG-LA TOP:
The tourists will visit the Khardung-la. It takes you to the highest motorable road of the world - Khardong-la (18,380 feet or 5,578 m). Nubra Valley lies in the north of Leh. Apart from unparalleled trekking opportunities, the valley has several Buddhists monasteries such as Sumor, Tigar and 350 years old Diskit monastery.

DAY 08 to 15 TREKKING TOUR:
You will go for trekking for one week. During the trek you will see nature - lakes, mountains, and undiscovered parts of Leh.

DAY 16 LEH TO LAMAYURU:
Leh to Lamayuru, Likir, and Alchi. Night halt at Lamayuru. Whole day is dedicated for the local sightseeing.

DAY 17 LAMAYURU TO KARGIL:
After breakfast leave for Lamayuru (Oldest Monastery on Central Ladakh Region). Enroute you can see a spectacular view Mountain Ranges and Moon landscape and Giant Maitreya Buddha on the way to Kargil at Mulbekh. Arrive at Kargil by evening. Overnight in Kargil.

DAY 18 KARGIL TO SRINAGAR:
Today we shall drive to Srinagar, passing through Zoji-la and picturesque Sonamarg, before entering the Kashmir valley. Overnight at Srinagar.

DAY 19 SRINAGAR:
Local sightseeing in Srinagar. DAL LAKE: Much of Dal Lake is a maze of intricate waterways rather than a simple body of open water. The lake is divided into Gagribal, Lokut Dal and Bod Dal by a series of causeways. Dal Gate, at the city end of the lake, controls the flow of the lake water into the Jhelum River canal.

DAY 20 SRINAGAR TO JAMMU:
On the Srinagar to Jammu route are the hill resorts of Batote, Panitop and Kud. Before entering Jammu region tourists will pass through a 3 km long tunnel named Jawahar Tunnel. On the way to Jammu city, tourists can visit the famous shrine of Vaishno Devi. Overnight at Jammu city.

DAY 21 JAMMU TO AMRITSAR:
After breakfast we head for Amritsar. History of Amritsar is really fascinating. The city is famous for puissant Sikhs and has legends attached to it. DAY 04 AGRA TO SHIVPURI (230 KMS):
After breakfast we head for Shivpuri. Shivpuri is a very ancient town and a sacred place. It is named after Lord Shiva (the God). It is steeped in the royal legacy of its past, when it was the summer capital of the Scindia rulers of Gwalior. Earlier to that, Shivpuri's dense forests were the hunting grounds of the Mughal emperors. Evening sightseeing at Shivpuri. Overnight in Shivpuri.

DAY 05 SHIVPURI TO BHOPAL (220 KMS):
After breakfast we drive to Bhopal. Bhopal is said to have been founded by the Parmara King Bhoj (1000-1055), who had his capital at Dhar. The city was originally known as Bhojpal named after Bhoj and the dam ('pal') that he is said to have constructed to form the lakes surrounding Bhopal. In Bhopal you can see palaces, gardens, lakes, mosques, and museum. Overnight in Bhopal.

DAY 06 BHOPAL TO MANDU (270 KMS):
In the morning, after breakfast, we move for Mandu. Mandu, known as the "city of joy", has been witness to a long and checkered history peppered with ups and downs. Reference to Mandu has been made in a Sanskrit inscription of 555 A.D. The inscription suggests that Mandu was a fortified city even in the 6th century.

DAY 07 MANDU:
We spend the entire day today for local sightseeing. In Mandu you can see Asharfi Mahal, Rewa Kund, Jahaze Mahal, Lohani caves, etc. Overnight in Mandu.

DAY 08 MANDU TO JALGAON (240 KMS):
Today after breakfast we proceed to Jalgaon. Jalgaon district, called East Khandesh district prior to Oct. 21 1960, was earlier a part of "Khandesh". We shall do sightseeing in Jalgaon upon arrival there. Overnight in Jalgaon.

DAY 09 JALGAON TO AURANGABAD (161 KMS):
After breakfast we head for Aurangabad today. On the way we shall stop at Ajanta Caves. It was only in the 19th century, that the Ajanta group of caves, lying deep inside the Sahyadri Hills area, cut into the curved mountain side, above the Waghora river, were discovered. At Ajanta you will see the frescoes and sculptures inside these Buddhist caves when Indian art reached its zenith. Overnight in Aurangabad.

DAY 10 AURANGABAD:
Today we'll do sightseeing in Aurangabad and Ellora. In Aurangabad you will see the Mughal monuments and tombs, and in Ellora you will see the cave shrines of all faiths - having magnificent pieces of ancient Indian sculpture. Overnight in Aurangabad.

DAY 11 AURANGABAD TO PUNE (226 KMS):
Located on the Sahyadri Hills near the west coast of India, Pune is a fascinating city with a healthy climate all year around. The city was one of the pivotal bases of the 17th century great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji, who was born at the Shivneri Fort here. In Pune we shall visit Shaniwar Wada, Saras Baug, Parvati Hill, Raja Kelkar Museum, Shinde's Chhatri, Bund Garden, Kasturba Smarak (inside Agha Khan Palace) etc. Overnight in Pune.

DAY 12 PUNE TO MUMBAI (190 KMS):
